Waipio Valley - home of the po po and luk luk

We trekked to the bottom of this valley, but on the road to the valley we stopped in for a "traditional" hawaiian meal. It looked liked something that I ate in Cambodia, but had a price tag of $9.00 versus $.50. The dude told to me to squeeze the crab (aka popo) and eat the green stuff that came out of it. And then, there was also something called luk luk, but it was crawling aroud my plate.I didn't attempt it. The kale was enough.

The graduate

Duncan graduated on May 25 from grad skool! He is finally finished with college.

To celebrate, we headed to Hawaii for a few days to relax. It was a great time, but a little on the pricey side. I have posted some of the pictures from our hike to the Waipio Valley on the north side of Kona.
